Observatory
The observation tower has witnessed the origin and development of Wild Elephant Valley. This area is home to the highest concentration of wild Asian elephants and sees their most frequent activity, making it a key scientific monitoring site for conservation managers and researchers studying these majestic creatures. Originally established in the early 1990s by scientists, the tower was designed to facilitate research on wild Asian elephants.

Nature Education Base
As a "National Science Education Base" and a "National Ecological Environment Science Education Base," Wild Elephant Valley leverages its unique tropical rainforest environment and the rare resource of Asian elephants to develop immersive nature-based learning programs centered around the "Xishuangbanna Natural Knowledge System" and the "Asian Elephant Knowledge System." These programs are jointly taught by leading Asian elephant researchers and a team of expert nature educators. Additionally, the center actively organizes a series of engaging主题活动, including "Asian Elephant Behavior Observation," "Asian Elephant Conservation Workshops," "Stories of Asian Elephant Rescue and Human-Elephant Harmony," and "The Relationship Between Asian Elephants and Their Ecosystem." Since their launch in 2018, these programs have received widespread acclaim from participants, solidifying our commitment to becoming China’s premier base for Asian elephant conservation research and the country’s leading classroom for Asian elephant science education.

Elephant Science Park
Closeness breeds love; protection ensures longevity. Through the Asian Elephant Natural Behavior Exhibition at the Elephant Science Park, the public can gain a deeper understanding of the elephants' physiology, ecology, and behavioral patterns. Together, we can raise awareness about the current status of Asian elephants, as well as the critical importance of tropical rainforest conservation and biodiversity preservation. Let’s actively embrace ecological civilization, fostering harmonious coexistence between humans and elephants.

Asian Elephant Museum
The Asian Elephant Museum was established in 2008 and underwent an upgrade and renovation in 2023. The museum spans 800 square meters and is divided into four exhibition halls: the Introductory Hall, the Listen to Elephant Life Hall, the Protect Elephant Growth Hall, and the Multimedia Hall. As a science-based museum centered around the Asian elephant, it’s a collaborative project between Wild Elephant Valley and the Administration of Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve. The museum aims to educate the public about elephants, raise awareness about protecting Asian elephants, highlight the urgent survival challenges faced by these majestic creatures, and actively work toward reducing human-elephant conflicts—ultimately fostering harmonious coexistence between humans and elephants.

Rainforest Little Theater
"Twelve Xishuangbanna, Thirteen Flowers—Thirteen Ethnic Groups as One Family." The Rainforest Mini-Theater, located at the entrance of the South Gate area in Wild Elephant Valley, serves as a vital window for the thirteen ethnic groups living in Xishuangbanna to showcase their unique customs and traditions to the outside world.

Tropical Rainforest Sightseeing Cable Car
Climb the cable car to enjoy panoramic views of the lush tropical rainforest, gazing out at the meticulously layered ecological landscapes and overlooking the vibrant, emerald-green canopy where towering vines intertwine. And if you’re lucky enough to spot a wild elephant, you might even witness thrilling moments—like these majestic giants foraging or playfully interacting right beneath the cable car!
